As we pursue our mission to serve campers, families, ministries, and our community by providing a unique space and opportunities for rest, recreation, and relationships with that encourage a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, the health, safety, and well-being of our guests and staff at Blue Ridge Christian Camp are of paramount importance.
Please note our guidelines are subject to change at any time based on recommendations and guidelines provided to us by VDH. Should this information change once a camper is registered, families will receive an email inviting them to revisit this site for the most recent and up to date information.
Before Coming to Camp
Please take every precaution necessary to keep the entire camp family healthy. If you have questions regarding any recent exposure or illness, please contact us.
Daily Health Screening
Staff and team leaders will conduct a daily screening, including a temperature check, for every member of the camp community.
Check In & Visitor Policy
Only registered campers, volunteers, and staff are permitted on the property. No outside visitors are allowed.
Check in will be held in our parking area. Families are invited on campus for check out on the last day of their camper’s session. Campers who check out are not permitted to return.
Hand Washing
Hand sanitizing stations have been set up at all camper locations throughout the property. Campers will wash-in and wash-out as they move about to new activities and locations. Leaders will monitor for compliance.
Please talk with your camper about best hand washing practices and covering coughs and sneezes.
Plan & Communication for Symptomatic Camper or Staff Member
Should an individual display any symptoms of COVID-19 or any other communicable disease, that individual will be comfortably quarantined and his or her emergency contact will be notified for pick up. Testing for this individual will also be secured. Our registration requirement includes an agreement to testing and notification. We will continue to screen and monitor for symptoms in our camp community.
Our Physical Space - Including Sanitizing and Ventilation
New MERV 13 filters have been placed in our HVAC intakes.
The porch is for our camp staff only.
Dorms will be sanitized and aired out between each camp.
We have a rigorous cleaning schedule that includes frequent sanitizing of high frequency touch areas.
Meeting spaces and other communal gathering spots will also be regularly sanitized.
