Dear Camp Family-
We wish we could have this conversation with each of you individually. Our board met last night. After weeks of prayer and monitoring the Covid 19 pandemic, considering worst and best case scenarios regarding the spread, studying guidelines, and consulting those in the health field, the decision was made to close camp for our summer programming. This was a tough decision to make. Our leadership did not take this lightly.
Our mission at BRCC is all about being a part of what God is doing. The camp provides a unique opportunity for Rest, Recreation, and growth in your Relationship with Jesus Christ. In this season, we see Him providing that opportunity for our families in other ways. We trust Him and the power He has to do this. He is still working.
Our amazing deans and staff are disappointed, but our plan is to feel that disappointment and sadness and then get back to work. We will continue our upgrade and improvement projects to the best of our ability and when you can come back to camp, it is going to be ready for you.
For those of you who were looking forward to your last summer at BRCC, let us say to you that it doesn’t have to be your last. When it is possible to gather, there will be a place and a plan for you.
Now that camp is cancelled, we shift our focus to how we remain connected outside of this property. We’d like to encourage you to reach out to your camp friends and please reach out to us if you need anything. You will be hearing more from us throughout the spring and summer!
Stay Well. We love you all. We are praying for you and look forward to the day our camp family is back together.
Sincerely & For Him~
